Many professional athletes such as baseball outfielders and golfers avoid using nonprescription sun protection because of problems judging target location, depth, and/or timing.  Others wear flip-up sunglasses for the same reasons.  Some athletes have even complained about headaches, eyestrain and nausea from wearing inferior lenses.  This new Nike Max Lens Technology eliminates virtually all of the problems associated with lens distortion.  Nike now has glasses designed specifically for professional baseball players, and a patent pending on a golfer’s lens.

NIKE MAX OPTICS delivers a clearer view over a wider lens angle. Sport doesn’t happen in a straight line. The enlarged field of view is 51% larger than competing designs, giving athletes exceptional clarity of sight, even in the periphery.

NIKE MAX POLARIZED lenses reduce eye strain by virtually eliminating the glare from light that reflects off water and pavement. We placed the polarizing filter inside the lens, and molded it to our precision optical curve. The enlarged visual sweet spot reduces distortion.

NIKE MAX SPEED TINT is designed specifically for endurance sports like marathons, triathlons and cycling races. Red light calms the eye. This tint allows almost all of red light through the lens, to help you relax and focus.

NIKE MAX GOLF TINT is designed to reduce eye strain, protect your eyes and enhance visual aspects like the contour of the greens, the color of the sky and the white of the ball to create an environment of greater contrast.

NIKE MAX HI-VIS TINT gives you enhanced visual clarity and exceptional depth perception and contrast when light is low and flat; in overcast conditions, in the early morning or late evening. This tint sharpens objects and shapes whether you’re skiing, snowboarding, driving or running.

NIKE MAXADAPT activates with UV light and automatically adapts to the optimal level of darkness and color. This photochromic lens reduces eye strain and gives athletes clear and precise vision under all conditions, whether they’re skiing, running, golfing or cycling.

NIKE MAXSIGHT is a fully tinted soft contact lens that gives you distortion-free optics, whether or not you require a prescription. They eliminate glare, enhance contrast and filter out certain types of light to make details clearer.

NIKE FLYING LENSES are attached at only one or two locations on the frame. The rest is free, so air flows between the lens and the frame and heat escapes through the same gap. Flying lenses stay in place even when the frame flexes, for consistently superb optics.

NIKE’S VENTILATED RUBBER NOSE BRIDGE contains several micro cut-outs, or gaps in the bridge that promotes airflow from underneath and reduce fogging. The unique shape keeps the frame in place.
